You know how it works.
You get out of life exactly what you put into it. Even when we’re thrown a curve ball such as hepatitis C, we still build our reality every day with our own actions. We can choose to wake up grumpy or we can rethink that and wake up happy. We can choose to see the pain of our lives or we can choose to enjoy the fact that we still have a life to live.
One things for sure. We choose to fight our demon every day. We choose to use everything in our arsenal to destroy the creature within no matter what it might do to us, realizing that every day we fight we get a day closer to victory. We get a day closer to the end of the fight. We get a day closer to walking the path of light and love rid of the beast once and for all.
But even if he still lives within us, all is not lost! So much is waiting on the horizon. There’s so much to look forward to if we can just be patient until we get there. The main thing is that there is a future out there and really, don’t you think we should enjoy that future? Don’t you think we should take every possible step toward that future in the belief that one day we will win? After all, the only true crime for a hepper is to give up.
But thankfully we’re fighters here in "OOB". Thankfully we do look to the future. Thankfully we have each other to lean on when we need it. We have each other to stand beside us and help us to reach that shiny future we all long for so much. We have each other to help pick up the pieces when the world seems just a little stranger then it should. We have each other to show ourselves the reality that we might not see were it not for another like minded individual.
So really what I’m trying to say is that together we can reach that future. Together we can win our battles over our personal demons. Together we can show the world that we will never falter. We will never waver from our plan. We will never give up on our fight for each other!
