Understanding The Ties That Bind Us By: MaggieBlue

17123.1   This last few weeks I have learned alot about myself and each of us as we begin to understand the ties that bind us also free us.   I have been finding family members and getting to know them, that are genetically tied to me. Now whats interesting as the stories come out, when we skip a few generations back, we all have these stories.   Many of us come from unique and interesting beginnings. What we have in common is that we survived. As it goes on we are surviving now, most of us here, with hep c and other issues as well. These things bring us closer to each other and help us understand our humanness. We share , love, worry, and hope together.    We laugh and pray, each in our own way but with the unity of our ever growing families. The weather, the times, the violence, a texting driver....our fates each bound, by random acts of viruses, storms and unpredictability. All this as we wait for test results and a better cure for this that haunts ...

17089.1    Great Saturday morning "OOB" Family   Well it can be great if you try hard enough,  happiness is what you make it.  It doesn't follow us around, we must seek out the people that lift our spirits.  Friends want the best for us, but sometimes their perception of happy means a totally different thing than what we are looking for.  Acceptance is huge in today's worldly scheme.  Getting knocked down in life with any chronic illness can be detrimental to our self esteem, it's easy to get caught up in, because let's face it, none of us were prepared for long term battles and dealing with the stigma attached to this blood born virus.  When it is revealed, it can be crippling to our lives, unless we find ways to reinvent ourselves and keep going strong.  Every fiber of our being is rearranged in chaotic distress when diagnosed with a transmittable virus,  that is to be expected, but when family and fri...

Confusion By : Maggieblue

17026.1   Good Day all people who visit here.... I was awake this morning and somewhat humbled by confusion, distraction and a severe sense of calamity.....take a breath or two I told myself but still the anxiety loomed. Couldn't figure out what was so unsettling but as the day passed I came down from the jitteriness slowly by just placing one foot in front of the other and going to work. In all of my life I have, like so many, come to live with my triumphs and despair often without many resources but still managing to get a grip and plow forward. As Heppers we all have to do this one day or another in order to cope. The initial shock, the stigma, whatever we think our Karma must be for this viral acquisition we have been labelled and questioned. Told it can infect our friends and families by unknowing souls, doubted ourselves and our doctors, had to do treatment without one person in our close relationships really understanding just exactly how it feels. The ups and downs and w...

Chuck's Vision of helping everyone

Good morning my friends, The snow has fallen, leaving crystal white peaks above our little valley. It was a wet snow that was reminiscent of spring and yet still reminding us that we have a little further to go to get to that glorious time that warms the heart and soul like nothing else can. Spring just naturally creates a feeling of hope and a desire to live in the bountiful splendor that is summer. It causes us to cast away the cold thoughts and feelings that can appear in the winter and replace them with wonderful thoughts of life and fulfillment. These are thoughts that grow within us as we progress on through our journey of life. These are thoughts and feelings that have the power to propel us onward even as we pick up those loose pieces of our lives that can somehow become scattered through the trials that we must face. But were it not for the seasons that exist both on our planet and within our lives, then things would probably get pretty boring for those minds of ours th...
