Top of the morning' to ya'. I'm banking most will read in the a.m., also just trying another opening. Over the years I've played a little game with myself, trying to have a different salutation every week for you. Frankly it's getting more challenging every week and I'm about fresh out of new ones, either that or start getting really off the wall. Don't want to confuse anyone.
It's now the second longest day of the year. We lost a whopping 59 seconds and today isn't quite so cloudy. Almost 11 and still plenty light out. On a really clear night, we've walked to Eathquake Park to catch the sunset. Picture a clear view of Denali and Foraker and surrounding peaks with both the last light of sunset shining on the western slopes and the light of sunrise catching the eastern side. For just a couple of nights one can see both sunrise and sunset at the same time. If it's not cloudy out-then all bets are off, it's just not dark out.
It was a magic time of night for me some years ago. Usually was the last man standing in the old home room. Having a 3-4 hour time difference makes it tough finding anyone that wants to stay up that late. I would often write and ramble with one eye on the room, all the while experiencing the brief period of darkness quickly followed by the beginning of a new day. It was like getting a jolt of hope before you signed off. Seeing tomorrow always come, tho of course, one day it won't. Getting tomorrows was something many had to fight for. That they trusted you to help in their fight is incredibly humbling. I will forever remember the ability of others, perhaps in need of support themselves, drop everything to come to the aid of someone with a greater need. Other sites would tell you stay away from us, we were a bad influence. True, many of us had already fought our battles and enjoyed having a place to go, but there were always a few active Warriors around, still fighting, still waiting. Must have been the rule of the house that gave us our "rep". (we had no rules)Truth was, if we didn't drive you out, you were worth keeping. In this game you fought outside the box-Out Of Bounds wasn't just three words. We knew the power of laughter, love, companionship and compassion. We did our best to leave any misery at the door-kinda like walking into " Cheers". Life for many was intense enough as it was. The good old days weren't often that good, but we spent them together and made the most of any opportunity to have a good time. Yet, they told you to stay away, lol. Also, we're still here.
Almost midnight and easily could read a paper on the porch. Nice not having to turn on the lights, drawing moths and who knows what else. It's the start of summer according to the calendar so lets all and try and find something we loved every summer, but haven't done in ages. The hell with what anyone thinks, just do it. Just might catch yourself, in the moment, having fun.
Gotta be up in about 6 to pull a shift, so that's all folks.

" Leave No I Love You Unsaid, No Hug Ungiven ". Peace, Oldhair.
