Out Of Bounds”

A forum and chat room for hepatitis c support, other patients sharing their own experiences in a friendly funny, and positive atmosphere , it is geared toward helping the newly diagnosed patient that is usually frightened and stigmatized in today's society as a drug addict or someone with past drug experiences. The 60's generation is who we are seeing so some of it is true , but many are just like the girl next door or the wild child getting a tattoo or body piercing just for fun.
Everyone must take notice many people today are carrying the hepatitis c or b virus and have no idea. 500 million walk the earth and have no clue they are infected until the symptoms show up decades after the virus has attacked the liver, this causes 10 or 15 thousand people in the USA every year,to die from liver failure, kidney failure, heart attack, and liver cancer after the person develops cirrhosis.
Teens today are at a greater risk than ever before
This must be addressed to save the coming generations until a cure has been successful.
Many of theses deaths were unnecessary if they had known early on before cirrhosis does it's damage, approximately 20 to 30 years after the initial virus has been introduced.
The chances of a full recovery are greatly benefited by treating the disease in it's earliest stages, mental disorders are frequent in people with cirrhosis if not treated properly.
Depression anger and lethargy, are robbing people of their quality of life, and treatment on top of that can be a very serious problem if your Hepatologist isn't prepared to help you through the side effects. It is crucial to your quality of life to be as good as you can be before taking any of the treatments. If you are to succeed with the treatment then you have a head start on your recovery.
Support chat rooms are very helpful we share our experiences with you, and keep you focused on your walk to victory !

You can have cirrhosis and if you take great care of yourself, your life expectancy can be the same as a non infected person “Healthy lifestyle changes can be the best thing you do, with plenty of rest eating right and monitoring your blood work along with ultrasounds for preventative care against HCC

Liver transplant is no joke either my friends, it is a very difficult thing to go through , and most must take the treatments for hep c even after the transplant, that is if you are still detected for the hep c virus at the time of your transplant, with all theses things to consider, some will hear the side effects of treatment and be frightened away before ever trying it and others will make the decision not to treat sometimes, it is a very personal and difficult decision.

Knowledge is power and the more you learn about hep c or b the better equipped you will be to decide your future.

I have treated six different times with separate drug combinations. I beat the hep c virus and am now two years and eight months post treatment sustained viral response meaning I am cured.
I am dedicated to helping you make the best out of your life so you will be successful in begining a brand new life.
