God knows there are many websites that use people's illness to get rich from, non profits are exactly the opposite of their meaning, these people are claiming millions of dollars for themselves, and only a smidgen of this money is actually used to help people they must report a certain percentage of donated money and the rest is simply lining their pockets.
I guess it is true of any scam in the world and people wonder why there isn't much real help in the ongoing battle to destroy hep c before it kills another 15 to 20 thousand people this year...

The world has changed so much from the recession and lack of family values it is so very sad to see, I teach teens about hep c and ways it is contracted tattoo and piercing parties, iv drug use is on the rise as kids are tossed out on the streets like disposable lighters, it's not only a mad mad mad world, but a sad sad sad world we live in today because very few people truly care.
It seems parents have lost morals and values in todays world and that directly reflects on the way a child sees the world ahead of them, with diminishing hope and coping skills necessary to live a healthy and clean life.
I hear this all the time from teens, oh that couldn't ever happen to me or my friends... That sends the red flag up in my radar detector to be as blunt and as shocking as I can be to get their attention.
Does it work ? I don't think they are listening at all, and that is very scary in this world we live in that is crammed full of STD'S and HIV and threats, Hepatitis c seems silly after listening to the horror stories of AIDS, but it is just as deadly I plead with them to take it seriously.
How is this world supposed to go back and re-train the parents to be more in tune with their children and to find better ways of teaching all of them about this killer disease.
No one really learns about hep c until it hits them at home, and that is too damn late if you ask me.
The new drugs are the light at the end of the tunnel for most that suffer, but the millions of people that have been infected and still have no idea is staggering, Hep C will not be irradicated in our lifetime but it will be wounded, I need some young people to join the war and teach their friends all of the ways to prevent this killer from ever entering their lives before another life has been lost.
Please come join the battle and use your heart and minds to do something good for the world.
Your grandchildren will be your reward, healthy and happy and safe from the people who are liars and thieves...
