They are a necessary evil, brought on by the suffering groans of the dieing dragons.The only problem I see for the year 2012 is that out of all those in the USA (mostly Baby Boomers) and (Vietnam Era Vets) that are positive Hepatitis carriers, 75% don't even know they have the virus! WTF ??? That makes us the lucky 25 % that ARE aware and can make the choice to treat and KILL it. Spread the word that getting screened for Hep should be a routine test and part of a yearly check-up for all those in the most vulnerable categories..Just think what a huge difference it would have made to be screened and informed about the virus back when it was first detected and isolated! " In April 1989, the discovery of the virus, renamed hepatitis C virus (HCV), was published in two articles in the journal Science. The discovery led to significant improvements in diagnosis and improved antiviral treatment" Get your friends and loved ones to agree to be screened for Hep. The sooner the Dx the sooner to begin the dragon massacre. I just noticed I am an Organ Donor on my driver license. It doesn't expire until 2015 so that needs to be changed. The only thing my Liver will be good for after I pass will be sitting next to a healthy "before" HCV liver, in a jar titled un-healthy 'after Hep' Liver in a medical museum. I am hoping not to expire until 2052
