US News Today

It's a natural born survival instinct to fear people that are ill. No matter if it is just a cold. Young kids and adults that do not understand hep c will be afraid until we teach them about it. I am a hep c survivor I have done 6 treatments and finally beat it with Infergen Daily Shots, it took 23 months to kill the virus with that drug. Today we are seeing much better treatments with the triple combination therapy with Telaprevir, Interferon, and Ribavirin. There are so many people becoming undetected in the first two weeks...in my websites that until now, most had little real chance of beating it before this new combination was available. Baby Boomers like myself are the number one target we must bring out with awareness, they must be screened for the virus before it damages their livers beyond help. Transplants are happening at a very alarming rate today, just trying to save these people, that is not good enough. We must make everyone aware this is a silent and steady killer and by the time it is creating symptoms, usually the patient is in the latter stages of disease and often too sick to take the powerful drugs. So whenever anyone sneers at you for having hep c, educate them. If you know anyone in their 40' and 50's tell them to get the test in any hospital or any doctors office before it's too late. I have been a hep c support group for seven years now, and I see people winning everyday with this new drug. Thank God and God Bless the world. In the USA the drug hepatitis c victims have been waiting for is finally on the market and readily available for first time treatment naive subjects.

hope to see the slow responders and the non responders from previous treatment failures included as swiftly as possible.

Hepatitis c is just coming into the spotlight as there are an estimated 5 to 10 million people in the US that have no idea the virus is slowly destroying their livers and their bodies reaches the public eye as far as stock reports and money monopoly's are implemented... Telaprevir added to the Interferon injections and Ribavirin pills is an 80% clear rate in the treatment naive population, there are no real numbers for second and third time treatment relapser's as yet, but the most promising advantage to Telaprevir being added to the chemotherapy regime are the health benefits from treating with these powerful drugs at a much shorter duration to kill the active virus before the treatment does. Standard treatments are 24 weeks and with the older drug combinations some have stayed on the course from one to four years while fighting their hearts out to achieve sustained viral response, which in fact means the virus will never be eradicated from the body, but the active virus will be destroyed giving the people a chance for their livers to recover enough to avoid the costly transplants and that comes with a much poorer quality of life.. Baby boomers are now being screened in a few places, and this action if taken seriously by the President will be directly affected by the 15,000 deaths each and every year from a virus that should have been recognized and treated before cirrhosis has taken over the persons life. Good news brings Great happenings, my heart is with all who suffer needlessly without warning and without the drugs we need to fight this monster. I dedicate my life to all the people that have lost theirs unnecessarily, I treated six times, a total of six years to clear the active virus and I will help anyone that needs a shoulder or a friend to help them make it through .
